It's just me
No account manager, no handoff between a designer and a developer. Whoever you talk to is who writes the code.
Fixed prices where possible
Quick jobs and most projects are priced up front. You know the number before any work starts, not after.
Source code, always
You own what you pay for. Full repository access on delivery, no proprietary lock-in to keep you paying.
Honest scoping
If something's bigger than it first looks, you'll hear that before it's built, not after.
Direct communication
Email or a call, whichever's easier. No ticketing system standing between you and an answer.
A stack that lasts
TypeScript, React and proven tools, not whatever's trending this month. Built to still make sense in three years.
Yes. Typeof Studio is a sole trader operation. For larger projects I'll flag if something needs extra hands, but the work you see and the person you talk to are the same throughout.
Yes, that's normal. Most enquiries start as a rough idea rather than a full spec. Send over what you're trying to achieve and I'll help shape it into something scoped and priced.
Yes. I'm happy to work under an agency's brand, alongside an existing team, or as white-label development if that's what's needed. Let me know upfront so the arrangement can be set up properly.
This varies month to month. Get in touch with a rough idea of timeline and I’ll tell you honestly whether it fits, or when it would.
Yes, happy to sign a reasonable NDA before any details are discussed if that's something you need.
That's fine. I can build from an existing design (Figma or otherwise), or from a rough idea if you don't have one. Design and build don't have to come from the same place.
TypeScript, React and TanStack Start are the default for new projects because they hold up well long-term. For existing codebases in something else, I'll work in whatever's already there rather than force a rewrite you didn't ask for.
Each project includes revision rounds within the agreed scope, so feedback gets addressed before anything is called finished. If something genuinely falls short of what was agreed, tell me and we’ll sort it.
Sometimes. If a date is fixed and non-negotiable, say so when you first get in touch. I'll be upfront if the timeline isn't realistic rather than agreeing and missing it later.
I'm based in Eastbourne, UK, and work with clients across the UK and further afield. Everything is handled remotely, over email and calls, so location isn't usually a practical issue either way.
